C.A.D.H. is centrally located in Hartford at 241 Main Street, Second Floor to efficiently serve all Local Public Health Offices. We are a not-for-profit organization committed to building our public health infrastructure to provide our communities with the public health services that they need.

The board of directors along with the members of C.A.D.H. are involved nationally,regionally and locally to bring ideas and resources to Connecticut to enhance public health in the state.
o Mission of CADH
Provide a basis for local directors of health to work together to strengthen and assure the efficient and effective delivery of public health services at the local level throughout the State. We are involved in a variety of public health issues including advocating for comprehensive tobacco prevention initiatives, promoting public health practice standards and supporting local health departments in building emergency preparedness capacity including bio-terrorism
Methods for Accomplishing the Mission
1. Being a goal-driven presence for improving public health in Connecticut;
2. Increasing awareness of issues concerning public health;
3. Being a knowledgeable leader in providing, promoting, protecting, and researching the public's health;
4. Providing leadership in public health assessment, assurance and policy development throughout Connecticut;
5. Developing and reviewing legislation and regulations of public health importance.
